George Bayes
George has been a part of the education world since becoming a state school teacher in the 1970s. He started teaching art, design and technology skills and then moved into the business English sector, specialising in the more technical areas and working throughout Europe.
He has a B.Ed. in Art, Design & Technology, Certificate of Training Practice and a Certificate in Teaching English for Business.
He regularly gives talks on a wide range of subjects, including photography, British culture and the history of York. He lives in a beautiful village in the North York Moors where he leads guided tours.
Steve Newsome
Business English and international communication trainer, coach, and learning facilitator, with over ten years management experience and over fifteen years in international learning and development.
Areas of interest include: politics, music, sport, history, art, country walks, and city breaks.
Qualifications include: MA in Counselling Studies (Durham University), MSc in Social Policy (University of Nottingham).
Susan Kraus
I have lived and worked in Italy and in Turkey and I have worked a lot in Germany and Switzerland. I have been based in York for over 20 years teaching both general and business English and intercultural studies. I have worked in language schools teaching adults, at the University of York teaching students and trainee teachers, and at a development agency helping young volunteers prepare for overseas placements.
I love reading and going to the cinema and anything connected with Italy. I enjoy city breaks and spending time at the coast but my biggest passion is my garden.

John Duncan
Business and specialist English language teacher and international communication skills trainer, teacher trainer, EFL textbook author, conference presenter, 25 years + international experience (e.g. Libya, Egypt, Finland, Hong Kong). French speaker, also some Arabic and Cantonese.

John Woollacott
English language, communication and intercultural trainer, with more than 35 years international experience. Portuguese speaker.

Zoe Wilson
Business Manager and entrepreneur with more than 15 years’ experience. Has set up and run several small businesses as well as coordinated all activities of a professional training centre for 6 years. Experienced in international sales, marketing and business management.
Interests include growing businesses, innovation, building partnerships, customer service, quality and continuous improvement.
Personal interests: spending time with her family, walking, cooking and gardening.
